Join us on the water as we come together to say a final farewell to one of Poole Harbour’s most familiar and much-loved ships.

On Monday 12th October, our boats will sail out from Poole Quay to escort Barfleur on her final departure from Poole.

It promises to be a memorable and emotional occasion as passengers, crew and the local maritime community gather to wave goodbye and celebrate Barfleur’s many years of service from Poole.

We will be leaving at 7.30am (sharp!) Solent Scene will be serving bacon baps and tea / coffee for breakfast 

Wrap up warm, bring your cameras and join us for this very special piece of Poole’s maritime history.

We’ll sail close by to watch Barfleur’s final loading at the ro-ro berth, then take up position for a farewell sail past. We’ll follow her out (50m astern in accordance with the harbour masters notice)  as far as the chain ferry before returning to Poole Quay between 9.00am and 9.30am.
